FEARS, TEARS, FAKE BLOOD AND BEERS

Prologue

So, I started writing this weeks what ago. What happened between then and now is as follows.

I wrote a paragraph one evening that would be the introduction to this blog; I tried to make it really inspirational and grand. However, I read it back and bored myself thinking, “Even I wouldn’t want to read this”; and so left the tab open on my laptop for days. I then buggered off to Hong Kong for 2 weeks (you can already see a blog post pending), and China (yup, you guessed it – another blog post) and spoke about how much I should start writing this but actually did nothing about it. I then came back, went back to work for a week, whilst all the time thinking about writing this. Which leads me to today that went something like this when talking to a friend:

convo

So I guess that was enough motivation, because here it is. My first blog post. Thanks Alex for the inspiring talk.

But I probably should of introduced myself by now, quite rude I haven’t already. And if you’ve gotten this far reading without wanting to leave this page then I should give myself a small pat on the back. My name is Steph and I live in Surrey, which is classed as Greater London. (30 minutes away from Central on the train, if our train system allows for it to be that way.) Most of you reading this might know me, so therefore you’ll recognise me with sentences that come out quicker than I can talk, jokes that don’t always make sense and a walk faster than me when I see a spider. (Although that’s pretty speedy…) For those who don’t know me, and have just stumbled across this then I guess you’re lucky. You so far haven’t had to endure my ramblings that just tend to spurt out at any moment, or see me in the morning when I’ve woken up late and am yet to have a coffee. And hopefully in this blog, you wont have to deal with any of that. Although I’m conscious that I’m now rambling so that goal was short lived…

Anyways, I’ve got plenty of topics, places and people that I’m passionate enough to talk about on here to keep this going for a while – just this introduction was the thing giving me writers block. (For someone who loves to talk, suddenly talking about myself became quite hard…but not as hard as my love for a Hooch.) But enough of that.

So let’s see how I get on with this, and whether I manage to keep it up, even if it’s for a little bit! If I happen to interest any of you or make you laugh along the way then that’s a bonus. You’ll soon realise that I enjoy taking photos so prepare to see my mug along the way – hopefully it wont scare you off too much. Although I have plenty of pictures where I am dressed to scare, but I’ll leave that for wait… yup, another blog post.

Until then – I’ll leave you in anticipation until I write again and hopefully I won’t leave it as long as last time!
